Bible Wednesday 5/6: Eat, Drink, Live

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 16:1-11. Verse 11 KJV, what exactly does God’s path of life look like amid this virus emergency? How do his heavenly joy and pleasures contrast with the earthly versions thereof? How can I access these today?

Ezekiel 26:1-21. Downfall of Tyre, Jerusalem’s enemy. When have I been tempted to feel that ignoring, slighting, or disobeying God has no consequences? What’s the opposite behavior I can practice today?

I Corinthians 10:14-22. Verse 21, related question, by what attitudes and actions do I sometimes pollute the purity of my Christian life? What is God’s remedy, specific to me? Action point?

John 6:52-59. Verse 54, what does it mean to eat of Jesus’ flesh and blood, besides taking communion in church? Watching me, with no words spoken, could others tell I am thus nourished? Goal today?
