Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 66:1-20. Verse 10, how is the pandemic purifying me and other Christians like silver in a fire? Spiritually, what is the precious metal God made us of? What is the dross in me that he is burning away?
Ezekiel 47:1-23. How can I and my family partake of God’s river of healing? What do we desire that it should do for us?
Ephesians 4:17-24. Putting off the old man, putting on the new. Not by self-appraisal, but in asking those who know me best, what would they say Christ has accomplished with me so far, and what is the next task?
John 16:1-15. How can I commune today more closely than yesterday with the Comforter, Spirit of truth, Holy Ghost, sent to be with us by Jesus when he ascended?
