Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 31:1-24. Verse 15 KJV, my times in God’s hand. How can this calm my anxiety about why the pandemic is taking so long, ill effects stretching into the future, time lost already, etc?
Ezekiel 32:1-32. Verses 6, 8, and 32, God warns of bloodshed, darkness, and terror unto his enemies. Who or what in today’s world may be bringing such a fate upon themselves? Prayer point?
I Corinthians 13:1-13. Verse 11, why does the life of Christian love, spelled out here, require me to put away childish things? How can this help me get through the Covid crisis in a way that glorifies God?
John 8:1-12. Verse 12, how does Jesus being the light of the world shape his handling of the fallen woman and her accusers? How well does my church follow his example for moral correction and restoration?
