Bible Saturday 6/13: He Calls Us

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 105:1-45. What does Israel’s experience in Egypt, bondage and then deliverance, teach us about the human condition and the providence of God, applicable to America’s present crisis?

I Samuel 12:1-25. Verse 23, the sin of neglecting prayer. For what persons, needs, or situations can I pray more fervently today than I did yesterday?

Acts 5:1-11. When have I lied to God? What did I learn? Present application?

Mark 1:16-20. Verse 17, what opportunity might I have this summer, because of racial tensions and Covid, to “fish” for the souls of men and women who need to know Jesus?
