Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 85:1-13. Verse 10 KJV, what would it look like right now for God to impart this balance of mercy with truth, righteousness with peace, in the hearts of Christians and then all across our troubled land?
I Samuel 3:1-21. Of the many channels through which a believer may hear from God, which one “tunes in the clearest” for me? What answer, assurance, or direction do I especially pray to receive from him today?
Ephesians 6:10-24. Verses 11 and 12, what form does our conflict with the devil and the darkness take in America at this time? What armor for protection, and armament for fighting back, do I have from God?
John 18:12-27. Related question, what wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:11) operated on Peter to make him deny Jesus? What similar moment of testing might I soon face, the way things are going at present?
