Bible Wednesday 6/10: Nicodemus Commits

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 101:1-8. Verse 7 KJV, what lies are widespread right now, offensive to God and harmful to his people? What can I specifically do to resist and refute them?

I Samuel 9:1-27. Verses 6-8 and 15-17, how God orchestrates our lives to achieve his purposes. When have I experienced this? Application to my present needs?

Acts 4:13-22. Verse 13, by what attitudes and actions, without my talking about it, might others realize that I follow Jesus? Verse 19, how does the world go about trying to mute my Christian witness?

John 19:38-42. Verse 39, the Jewish leader Nicodemus, formerly tentative and secretive about believing Jesus, is now fully committed. Whom do I know that is hesitating as he did? What’s to be done?
