Bible Tuesday 6/9: Harden Not Your Heart

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 95:1-11. Verse 8, what hardness of heart must I address in myself, lest it keep me from humbly loving God and my neighbor at this stormy time of civil unrest and Covid?

I Samuel 8:1-22. Verses 6-8, how does the temptation to expect more from government than from God get at me and other Christians? What is my church doing about it? My role?

I John 5:1-13. Verses 4 and 5, amid the current turmoil, what would it look like for me personally to experience more of the victory that overcomes the world through faith in Jesus as the Son of God?

John 19:25-37. Verses 26 and 27, why did Jesus, the Son of God and equally the son of Mary, make special provision for her at the moment of his death? What has this to do with me as his follower today?
