Bible Thursday 6/25: Oppressors

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 54:1-7. Verse 3 KJV, oppressors seek after my soul. Taking stock right now, how is this manifest humanly? How is it manifest spiritually? Prayer point?

I Samuel 24:1-22. Verses 12 and 15, related question, no matter how unjustly I and my church and my country are treated, am I clear that justice and mercy are ultimately in God’s hands, not ours?

Acts 8:4-13. Verse 4, persecution serves to spread the gospel more widely. For Jesus’ church today, ill treated during the lockdown and now menaced by radicals. what’s the kingdom opportunity now before us?

Mark 3:31-35. What can each of us who have entered into a brother or sister relationship with Jesus expect from him this very day? What does he in turn expect from us?
