Bible Saturday 7/11: City in Need

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 31:1-24. Verse 21 KJV, God’s kindness in the city. What’s wrong in my community right now that God alone can address? What would his intervention look like?

II Samuel 9:1-13. David’s generosity to Saul’s grandson. For whom can I go out of my way today in expressing the love of Christ?

Acts 13:1-12. Verse 10, what voices or agents of Satan are coming against me, my family, my church, and all the people of God? What is God’s antidote to nullify that?

Mark 7:31-37. Where is the healing hand of Jesus most needed today, that I know of? By what attitudes and actions can I put the sufferer in touch with the Great Physician?
