Bible Sunday 7/12: Dullards

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 33:1-12. Verses 10 and 11, on current issues of politics, economics, health, and race, what is the mindset of the godless? What is the mindset of God?

II Samuel 10:1–19. David’s military victories. As a Christian, how should I regard armed force—soldiers abroad, police at home? Are there pros and cons?

Acts 13:13-25. Saul’s first use of his new name, Paul, meaning “small.“ When has God lowered me in order to raise me? Present application?

Mark 8:1-10. Verse 4, why did the disciples, having recently seen Jesus fed the 5000, express puzzlement here? How am I like them?
