Bible Wednesday 7/15: The Ultimate Question

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 37:1-40. Verse 7 KJV, what have I been restless or impatient about, of late? Today how shall I go about turning that over to God, resting patiently in him?

II Samuel 13:1-39. Amnon’s rape, Absalom’s revenge, David’s grief. When have I seen generational sin and suffering beset an entire family? What is God’s remedy? Lesson for me?

Acts 14:1-7. Why are Christian churches, symbols, and teachings so hated by some in America today? How can you and I, as believers, turn this to advantage for the Gospel?

Mark 8:27-30. Related question, why does the worldly mind so resist accepting Jesus as the promised Christ, Savior and Lord? How can my church do more to proclaim him?
