Bible Friday 7/24: Jesus' Word of Love

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 67:1-7. Verse 4 KJV, in America’s current troubles, what would it look like for God’s judgment to break upon us this very day, for his governance to be manifest in the land?

II Samuel 22:1-51. Related question, what symptoms of darkness currently envelop our country? How does God’s light specifically counter each of those?

Acts 16:13-24. Verses 16-19, related again, what entrenched worldly interests seek free rein for the spirit of evil by silencing the Spirit of God?

Mark 10:17-31. Verse 22, what great possessions, seen or unseen, am I allowing to stand in the way of my taking up the cross and unreservedly following Jesus?
