Bible Monday 8/17: On His Mind

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 115:1-18. Verse 12 KJV, in that God is mindful of me and my loved ones today, what are some of the concerning details and pressing needs for all of us that I can trust he’s on top of?

I Kings 22:1-53. False to the last, Ahab meets his fate. When have I attempted to use God instead of letting him use me? Present application?

Acts 27:1-12. Verse 10, with spiritual insight Paul foretells the coming shipwreck. What is God’s purpose in giving this capability to his servants? Application to me, if any?

Mark 14:53-65. Verses 55-59, what are some of the lies that enemies tell about Jesus and his followers these days? How does Christ turn them to advantage?
