Bible Tuesday 9/8: Walk the Valley

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 23:1-6. What attitudes and actions does the Lord expect of me today, in order that I may benefit from having him as my shepherd?

II Kings 22:1-20. Verses 11-13, Josiah’s horror at the ignoring of God’s word. Looking at America today, what parallels do we see? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Job 15:1-35. Eliphaz unjustly condemns Job. When have I suffered injustice? How did God show up?

Luke 6:27-36. Verse 28, for whom can I generously pray today, that has been ungenerous or abusive to me and those I hold dear? Shall I write out my prayer so I can repeat it as the day goes along?
