Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 43:1-5. Verse 4 KJV, why is God a better source of joy than any other? In what area of my life do I most need to experience that joy today?
Job 23:1-17. Verses 4-7, if I could have it out with God today, what one answer would I want above all? Verse 12, failing that, what help can I get for the same issue from his word in Scripture?
II Corinthians 2:3-11. Verses 7-11, what unfinished business of asking forgiveness or granting forgiveness do I face today, including matters at a distance, politics etc? What is Satan’s agenda with this?
Luke 7:36-50. Related question, what’s the biggest thing I’ve ever asked Jesus to forgive me for? In returning to him a “love dividend” as this story teaches, to whom and in what form shall I pay it?
