Bible Friday 10/2: Excuses

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 83:1-18. Verse 3 KJV, what craftiness must I beware of in the schemes of God’s enemies? When seen, how do I then defeat it?

Job 39:1-30. What’s one specific lesson from the animal kingdom that can help me stay humble and God-focused today?

II Corinthians 12:14-21. When have I met with ingratitude and ill treatment after I lovingly poured myself out for someone? What did God want me to learn? Present application?

Luke 9:57-62. Have I been making any excuses to Jesus lately? Action point?
