Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:89-128. Verses 98-100, by obeying God, how am I endowed with more truth than all my ancestors or teachers or enemies? Application for today?
I Chronicles 26:1-32. David organizes the temple keepers, continued. As a servant of the Lord, if I’m to be remembered by family and friends for just one quality, what would that be?
Ephesians 6:10-24. Be armed to withstand the devil’s wiles. What form might that threat take against me today? What must I specifically do to be clad in all this armor?
Luke 15:11-32. When have the attitudes of both sons, self-will in one and self-pity in the other, acted to separate me from God? Application for today?
