Bible Thursday 10/14: Stop Keeping Score

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 109:1-31. Verse 2, what are some lies the world tells about God and God’s people? What’s my defense against those today, my resource for refuting them?

I Chronicles 21:1-30. David’s census displeases God. Is there some matter of importance right now on which God is waiting for me to trust him more and be less controlling?

Ephesians 4:25-32. Verse 29 KJV, no corrupt communication. Are the quality and quantity of my social media activity in accord with Jesus’ expectations for a disciple?

Luke 14:1-6. What attitudes of the Pharisee can I see in myself? How shall I go about counteracting them today?
