Bible Tuesday 11/2: Mystery Unlocked

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 6:1-10. Verses 2 and 4, in what specific way do I most need God’s mercy today?

II Chronicles 11:1-23. Rehoboam listens to God and begins to rule more wisely. What’s my most urgent request to God today for those holding political power in our country?

Colossians 1:19-29. Verse 24, Paul seeks his full share off the sufferings of Christ, for the church’s sake. What would life be like if I were to begin working toward a similar goal?

Luke 19:1-10. Zaccheus disregards appearances in his determination to get closer to Jesus. What will I risk for Jesus today, undeterred by custom, caution, and playing it safe?
