Bible Thursday 12/2: Serpent Crushed

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 81:1-16. Verse 10, am I presenting God with a big enough opening to receive the big blessings he wants to give me right now? Is there a mismatch on some specific issue?

Esther 4:1-17. Queen Esther ready to risk her life to halt the royal massacre of the Jews. Verse 14, “for such a time as this.” What do-or-die responsibility might God be placing on me for the coming year of 2022?

Revelation 12:1-17. Verse 7, war in heaven, how am I experiencing one small part of that war at present? Verse 10, what attack by the dragon, the serpent, Satan, can I repulse today by this affirmation of Christ’s victory?

Matthew 21:23-27. Moral and intellectual cowardice of Jesus’ enemies. Where do we see this mentality on the current scene? What is my church doing about it?
