Bible Saturday 11/6: Moral Cowardice

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 18:1-50. Verse 35 KJV, in what way do I need to experience God’s gentleness today?

II Chronicles 15:1-19. Verse 16, King Asa halts his mother’s idolatry. How does my family handle religious disagreements? Prayer point?

Colossians 3:1-17. Verses 9 and 10, what gains have I made this year, and what goal is next, in putting off an old sinful selfhood and putting on a new self in God’s image?

Luke 20:1-8. Jewish leaders afraid to engage with Jesus. Where is such fear evident today among leaders inside or outside the church? What’s the consequence? What’s the opportunity?
