Bible Sunday 11/7: Duty Bound

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 19:1-14. Verse 12 KJV, what secret fault am I able to see or suspect in myself under God’s searchlight? Prayer point for today?

II Chronicles 16:1-14. Verses 7 and 12, did Asa slight God in seeking military help when attacked and medical help when ill? As a Christian, what’s my balance point between practicality and spirituality?

Colossians 3:18-4:1. What is there in my extended family right now that I most need to have God heal, harmonize, reconcile, or restore?

Luke 20:9-19. If we’re each placed in God’s vineyard to serve faithfully and fruitfully, in what specific aspect must I improve just now? Against what temptations to slack off or rebel must I be on guard?
