Bible Wednesday 11/17: Lion and Lamb

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 45:1-11. Verse 5, how can this holy river benefit me? How can I find and partake of it today?

II Chronicles 26:1-23. King Uzziah’s leprous sin. Verse 16, in what way am I susceptible to pride, self-importance, and self-love? What remedy does God offer me for that?

Revelation 5:1-14. Jesus as Lion and Lamb. In which of these aspects do I especially need to have him near me today?

Luke 22:24-34. Verses 31 and 32, if Satan should set out to ensnare me today, what might be his point of attack? My prayer response?
