Bible Saturday 1/1: Promised Land

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 1:1-6. Verse 3, entering the new year, if I’m to be like a flourishing and fruitful tree of God’s planting, how would that look on a practical daily basis?

Deuteronomy 1:1-46. Verse 8, what qualities were required of God’s people in order to take possession of the Promised Land? How can I use those qualities for the glory of God in 2022?

Luke 2:21. Mary’s child is formally given the name Jesus What possibilities are mine today, as a result of God having known me and named me before time began?

John 1:1-18. If I let Christ fill me with light today, how might other people notice that?
