Bible Friday 12/31: The Least of These

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 149:1-9. Verse 4 KJV, how can it be that with all our flaws and failings, God takes pleasure in humankind? What is there to value or like about us? How can I please him during these final hours of 2021?

Jonah 4:1-11. Jonah angry at God for sparing Nineveh. When have I been self-righteous, judgmental, or loveless during this past year in a way that saddened God? Action point for 2022?

Revelation 22:1-21. Verses 1 and 17, what can the water of life do for me? What can I then do for others as a result?

Matthew 25:31-46. The sheep and the goats. Have there been some occasions recently when I turned away from a person in need, but unlovely, who was really Jesus in disguise?
