Bible Monday 2/22: Kingdom Yeast

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 123:1-4. Since God cannot be seen, what’s involved in keeping my eyes fixed on him all day today?

Proverbs 3:1-35. Verses 5 and 6, a famous passage, often quoted. But since life obviously requires diligent thought and effort, how do I apply those and still obey this?

Romans 5:12-21. What specific opportunity and obligation are mine today, in that I am now alive in Christ and no longer dead in Adam?

Matthew 13:31-35. Verse 33, to what person or situation might I bring some of the yeast of God’s kingdom today? What changes shall I pray that the yeast brings about?
