Bible Thursday 3/25: Mary with Gabriel

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 113:1-9. Verse 6, when have I known God to humble himself just for me? Present application?

Zechariah 5:1-11. Verse 8 KJV, what is the wickedness that God sees polluting our world at present? How will he cleanse it away? What’s required of me?

Hebrews 2:5-18. Verses 9 and 14, how is this day different for me because Jesus experienced death and defeated it?

Luke 1:26-38. Verse 38, what opportunity do I have at this point in my life to emulate, at least faintly, Mary’s perfect submission and obedience to what God requires?
