Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 63:1-11. Verse 2 KJV, “as I have seen Thee in the sanctuary.” What does it take for me to retain in the stressful times that sense of closeness and calm trust in God that I feel in church or in Scripture?
Zechariah 4:1-14. Verse 6, what’s going on in my life right now, or in the news, requiring me to redouble my faith that the Spirit of God is supreme over all worldly powers?
Matthew 24:36-44. What qualities of the godly man Noah are demanded of me in these tumultuous times?
Matthew 24:45-51. What is Jesus asking of me here, to gain his approval as a faithful and wise servant?
