Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:129-176. Verse 135 KJV, what would it be like to have God’s face shine on me today? What would I see, feel, receive, and know? How would I then act, what would I do?
Exodus 11:1-10. Verses 2 and 3, the enslaved mind begins giving way to the freed mind. Serving a God who hates slavery and oppression, how can I and my church help heal a wounded America right now?
I Corinthians 1:21-31. Verses 23 and 24, given access to God’s power and wisdom through Christ crucified, what use will I make of them today?
John 5:31-38. Don’t I quite often set my hopes on someone else or something else besides Jesus? What’s the consequence? How can I keep him and him alone at the center all day today?
