Bible Wednesday 4/21: Tragic Schism

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:89-128. Verses 122-125 KJV, my identity: servant of God. What attitudes and actions does this require of me today?

Exodus 10:1-29. What kept Moses going during his long, tense, discouraging struggle with Pharaoh? How can I access the same stamina and staying power from God that he did?

I Corinthians 1:10-20. What are some claims of worldly wisdom that God sweeps away? How does he use the Cross to do this? How is everything different for me today as a result?

John 5:24-30. Authority of the Father and the Son. What do they require of me today? What do they offer me? Or suppose I’m given a better offer?
