Bible Friday 4/30: Not Quitting

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 144:1-15. Verse 1 KJV, what war, what fight, does God want me to wage today? What must I let him teach me, in order to prevail?

Exodus 19:1-25. Verses 11-13, in my own relationship with God, what would be the equivalent of rashly or presumptuously approaching too near his holiness? How can I properly both love and fear him today?

I Corinthians 4:14-21. Verse 15, who has been a father or mother to me in Christ? Verse 17, who has been a son or daughter to me in Christ? What do I owe God in return for placing those people in my life?

John 6:60—71. Verses 67-69, whom do I know that has left off following Jesus? What do they follow instead? How can I show them some Christian kindness?
