Bible Tuesday 6/22: Astonishing

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 121:1-8. Verses 3 and 4, as God was awake last night all the while I was asleep, what did he do to prepare me for every demand of this day?

Numbers 2:1-34. Marching order for the tribes. Is there, by analogy, a desired marching order that God intends for all the Christians and churches in our city? My role?

Acts 10:1-8. A Roman soldier, obedient to Judaism, is selected by God for special duty. Verse 4, how will I know when my prayers and alms are up for a memorial before God?

Mark 4:30-41. Verse 40, what situation in my life right now would prompt Jesus to challenge me for less fear and more faith?
