Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 15:1-6. Verse 3, am I very neighborly, not very neighborly, or about average? Why does it matter to God?
Numbers 15:1-41. The offerings God expects of his people. What offering shall I make him today? Is my manner of doing so truly sacrificial, or more routine?
Acts 14:8-18. How did Paul, who hadn’t personally been with Jesus, acquire the ability to heal in God’s name? Could I possibly acquire the same?
Mark 7:31-37. Verse 33, related, the physical touch of Jesus’ hand being no longer available to us who need it, what can we expect from him instead? Present application for me?
