Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 10:1-18. Verse 1, about what problem do I find myself asking God, “Why, O Lord?” What answer if any am I receiving? What is he directing me to do, amidst the uncertainty?
Numbers 14:1-45. Verse 34, when has God put me through a long waiting period? What did I learn? Present application?
Acts 14:1-7. Verse 2, what are some lies often told about Jesus and the Christian faith, causing people to turn away? What can I do about it?
Mark 7:24-30. Why was this mother, pleading with Jesus for her child, granted her petition? What would it look like for me to conduct myself today exactly as she did?
