Bible Saturday 2/5: Lost and Found

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 89:1-52. Verse 33 KJV, when has God said “nevertheless” and waived my guilt, showing me mercy instead of justice? Present application?

Ecclesiastes 2:1-26. The Preacher speculates that life is not fair and we can’t pretend otherwise. So why don’t I just live accordingly? Will I indeed die with nothing to show for all my effort?

Romans 1:18-32. Verse 25, in what way am I tempted to worship and serve created things more than the Creator? Action point for today?

Matthew 10:34-42. Verses 35-37, how does this demand of Jesus match up with those “family values” we hear Christians talk about? Any personal experience I’ve had? Present application?
