Bible Sunday 11/13: For the Lost

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 36:1-12. Verse 7, what specific benefits are mine today, having placed myself under the shadow of God’s wings?

Isaiah 18:1-7. God’s severe judgment upon Ethiopia. How can America hope to escape the same?

Revelation 1:9-20. What might be the message from the crucified and risen Jesus Christ to the American church at present? How ready is my church to hear and obey? My role?

Luke 19:1-10. Related question, but directed at me personally. How far out of my comfort zone am I prepared to go, Zaccheus-like, to get closer to Jesus? What changes am I willing to make at his request?
