Bible Saturday 10/15: Little Flock

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 114:1-8. What Red Sea or Jordan River do I need to have parted today? What mountain do I need to have moved today? Shall I believe God for something that big and mighty?

Nehemiah 2:1-20. Verses 10 and 19, what powers or persons are actively set against my fulfilling God’s purpose today? How shall I defeat them?

Colossians 4:1-18. Verse 3, who needs my prayers today as they go about preaching, evangelism, or ministry for Jesus and the gospel?

Luke 12:22-34. Verse 28, O ye of little faith. What have I done lately, or failed to do, that may have caused Jesus to say those sad words about me? How will I make today different?
