Bible Saturday 12/3: How the King Prayed

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 85:1-13. Verse 8, in what specific way do I need to have God speak peace into my life and my circumstances right now/

Isaiah 38:1-22. The king, pastored by Isaiah, prays and is healed. How would our country be different if more of our political leaders made a practice of prayer?

Revelation 12:13-17. In what way is Satan, the serpent or dragon, constantly making war on the people of God gathered in my church? What is my post of duty in this war right now?

Luke 22:31-34. Jesus warns Peter of Satan’s designs on him. How does the temptation to deny Jesus subtly get at me?
