Bible Monday 2/28: Unconformity

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 144:1-15. Verse 9, what song shall I sing today, silently or aloud, to keep my heart and mind attentive to God?

Jeremiah 13:1-27. Verses 9-11 and 15-17, God’s anger at his people’s pride. In a world that encourages pride, how does this specifically ensnare me? What attitude should I bring to God today instead?

Romans 12:1-8. Verse 2, related question, what’s one practical thing I can do today toward being transformed in Christ, rather than being conformed to the world?

Matthew 15:21-28. Related again, how can I come into Jesus’ presence during this coming Lenten season with something of the same humble faith that this desperate mother expressed?
