Bible Sunday 2/27: Grafted In

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 140:1-13. Verses 2-4, what are some poisonous thoughts and attitudes God wants me to watch out for? What antidotes does he provide me to neutralize those toxins?

Jeremiah 12:1-17. Verses 1-4, let me talk with you, Lord. What one thing, more than any other, would I like to bring up with God right now and ask him, “Why?”

Romans 11:11-21. God’s people as an olive tree with its natural branches and its grafted branches. In what specific way am I deceived into either inferiority or superiority, from thinking Jesus plays favorites?

Matthew 15:1-20. Verses 2-6, hygiene, material and spiritual. With all the attention paid to keeping Covid out of my body, where have I been negligent about the germs that can infect my soul and then my relationships?
