Bible Saturday 3/5: Hear Ye Him

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 10:1-18. Human wickedness is rampant, yet God will arise (verse 12), God is King (verse 16). How can I stay close to Him today, not shocked but steadfast, despite the horrific images of war?

Jeremiah 18:1-23. Verses 3-6, by what attitudes and actions shall I submit myself under God’s hand today, as the clay submits to the potter?

Romans 14:14-23. Verse 15, how would my day be different if I could regard every person I meet as someone for whom Christ died?

Matthew 17:1-13. The Mount of Transfiguration. What can I do in this Lenten season to gain a little more intimacy with Jesus, God’s beloved Son?
