Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 18:1-50. Verse 28 KJV, if God lights a candle for me today, how would I experience that in going about my ordinary activities? What darkness am I struggling against right now?
Jeremiah 21:1-14. Verse 8, God offers a choice between the way of life and the way of death. In what form might that choice confront me today?
Romans 15:14-21. Verse 20, bringing the gospel to new ears. What opportunity for 1:1 evangelism, obvious but overlooked, might await me this very day?
Matthew 18:1-9. Verse 3, to gladden Jesus today, what can I specifically do to be less childish and more childlike?
