Bible Wednesday 3/9: Striving in Prayer

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 19:1-14. Verse 11, what particular warnings does God have for me today? What particular rewards is God offering me today?

Jeremiah 22:1-30. Verses 2, 11, 18, 24, Jeremiah pronounces God’s judgment against several kings. When have I had to go against popular opinion for righteousness’ sake? What did I learn?

Romans 15:22-33. Verse 30 KJV, what is the difference between striving in prayer and praying in my ordinary way? Why does it matter to God? What shall I strive prayerfully about, today?

Matthew 18:10-20. Verses 19 and 20, related point, believers combining in prayer. Why does Jesus delight in this? When have I seen its power? Present application?
