Bible Wednesday 3/30: Build Your Ark

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 73:1-28. Verses 3-17, envying the ungodly who prosper. When have I struggled with the feeling that life is so unfair, that God unaccountably lets bad things happen to good people? How does he answer that?

Jeremiah 43:1-13. Jeremiah warns the headstrong Jews that fleeing to Egypt won’t save them. When have I thought I knew better than God? What was the result? Present application?

II Timothy 2:14-26. Verse 15 KJV, God’s workman rightly dividing the word of truth. How can I specifically carry out that job description today? Whom can I bless in so doing?

Matthew 24:36-44. What does Noah have to teach me about being ready for Christ’s return? How can “build your ark” become a model for my faithfulness in these stormy times?
