Bible Thursday 4/21: Born Again

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 110:1-7. Verse 4, with the crucified and risen Jesus Christ as my priest forever, how is today different for me?

Ezekiel 6:1-14. Verses 7, 10, 13, 14, know that I am the Lord. When have I realized, in dark times, that God’s purpose was not to crush me but to teach me? Present application?

I Peter 1:1-12. Verse 8, what enables me to love and trust Jesus even though I’ve not seen him with human eyes? How will my resulting joy be evident to others today, even if not in so many words?

John 20:11-18. If this morning I encountered Jesus and heard him speak my name, would it fill me with regret and dread or with adoration and rejoicing?
