Bible Wednesday 4/20: Unleavened

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verse 2, who needs to hear my testimony today, about how God has redeemed me from the hand of the enemy?

Ezekiel 5:1-17. God’s fury to sweep over Jerusalem like a razor over Ezekiel’s hair and beard. Verse 11, has our generation defiled the sanctuary of God anywhere near as shamefully as this?

I Corinthians 5:1-8. What old leaven of sin and selfishness must I now get rid of, in order to feed on the bread of truth given me by Christ crucified and risen, the ultimate passover lamb?

John 20:1-10. Was Peter’s Sunday recovery of courage, after his cowardice on Thursday, the result of Jesus praying for him (Luke 22:32)? For what change in me would I desire Jesus to pray the Father today?
