Bible Thursday 5/19: Safe in Him

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 46:1-11. Verse 10, what influences today, within and without me, work against this stillness that draws close to God? How shall I combat them?

Ezekiel 34:1-31. When have I experienced the contrast between faithful and unfaithful shepherds described here? What did I learn? Present application?

I Corinthians 14:14-25. Verse 19, what is a powerful declaration of God, in just five words, that I can stand on today as a blessing to me and others?

John 10:22-30. Verse 28, what would it look like for the enemy to pluck me out of Jesus’ hand today? How can I prepare against that and prevent it?
