Bible Saturday 5/28: True Peace

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 70:1-5. About what pressing matter am I moved to urge God to make haste, hurry up? Am I able instead to slow down, stop, and trust his timing?

Ezekiel 43:1-27. Starting over: God’s glory returns to the temple. What’s the best proof I’ve ever seen that we serve a God of second chances? Application for today?

Ephesians 2:19-3:7. Verse 1, if I were to do as Paul does here and declare myself a prisoner of Jesus Christ, how would that play out in my thoughts and actions today?

John 14:25-31. What situation at present, in my own life or in the world, is most in need of the peace that Jesus alone can give? Why is this better than all our human efforts at peace?
