Bible Monday 8/1: Evangelizing the Athenians

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:41-72. Verse 41, in what specific way have I recently tended to limit God?

I Kings 1:1-53. Two of David’s sons struggle over the kingship. When have I seen God reconcile family strife? Present application?

Acts 17:22-34. Paul preaches at Athens. When has my attempt to share the gospel seemingly fallen on deaf ears? What did I learn?

Mark 11:1-11. Jesus prearranges the colt he will need for Palm Sunday. Is there a tiny detail or small problem I have been treating as beneath Jesus’ notice? Shall I humbly submit that concern to him today?
