Bible Sunday 7/31: Blind No More

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 78:1-40. Verse 14, with no pillar of cloud or fire to keep my eye on, what will God use to show me the right path to walk in today?

II Samuel 24:1-25. David’s census calls down a plague. When have others had to suffer for my wrongdoing? What did I learn? Present application?

Acts 17:16-21. Paul on Mars Hill. Within the circle of my daily life, is there any gathering place of open minds where I might share the good news of Jesus Christ?

Mark 10:46-52. In addition to physical blindness, what are the conditions of moral and spiritual blindness that cry out for Christ to heal them in today’s world? What is my church doing about it?
